Join us for 10 weeks of training designed to get you to the finish line of the Tesoro Viejo 10K! Challenge yourself to run on different terrain, run farther than ever before, or gain strength and endurance on the run. We'll keep you accountable with a training plan complete with daily assignments for running, walking, cross training, and recovery. Stay motivated when you attend the two in-person group training runs per week, led by Fleet Feet's team of experienced coaches. 

Tesoro Viejo 10K Training 

This training group will get you ready to cross that finish line and we will get you there as we gently increase your weekly mileage. We will offer fun weekly runs and occasionally challenge you with some diverse workouts. Whether you are looking for guidance on your first 10k or are looking for camaraderie and a fun group to belong to, we are here to help.

Goal Event: Tesoro Viejo 10K

Duration: 9 week program, two group training runs per week

Dates: January 15th - March 19th, 2022

Days and times: Tuesdays at 6:00pm and Saturdays at 7:00am

Cost: $120

 Zoom KICKOFF: Tuesday, January 11th at 6:00pm

We'll get you all the info you need to start training and we'll answer any questions you have at Kickoff!

You'll also have the opportunity to meet your Coaches and other participants!

 Coaching

Fleet Feet's team of experienced coaches will check in with you at every training run to keep track of your progress, keep you motivated, and give you individualized attention and feedback. Training groups will have small coach to athlete ratios, so you'll have plenty of one-on-one time with your coach.

Training Plan

Your 9-week training plan will provide daily assignments for running/walking, cross training, strength work, and recovery. The plan is periodized to gradually increase overall training volume while offering opportunities for your body to build back stronger, week after week.

Community

The camaraderie of training with a group week after week will take your training to the next level. When the training gets more rigorous, you'll have the collective strength of the group to keep you moving forward. When you crush a key workout, the group will be there to celebrate your achievement. And on those early morinings when you just don't feel like getting out of bed, the training group will keep you accountable.

Worry-Free Registration

If you cancel your registration for Tesoro Viejo Training BEFORE January 22, 2022, you can choose between a refund of your registration fee or a credit in the amount of your registration fee. You can apply your credit to 2023 Tesoro Viejo Training or another Fleet Feet Training Program.

If you cancel your registration for Tesoro Viejo Training AFTER January 22, 2022, you will receive a prorated credit towards 2023 Tesoro Viejo Training or another Fleet Feet Training Program. Prorated credits will be calculated by subtracting the number of group training runs that have already occurred from the total number of scheduled group training runs.

If the Tesoro Viejo 10K is cancelled, training will continue, if it is safe to do. If you choose to cancel your registration for Tesoro Viejo 10K Training after the race is cancelled, you will receive a prorated credit towards 2023 Tesoro Viejo Training or another Fleet Feet Training Program. Prorated credits will be calculated by subtracting the number of group training runs that have already occurred from the total number of scheduled group training runs.

If it is not safe to conduct Tesoro Viejo 10K Training (i.e. the training program is cancelled at any time), you can choose between a prorated refund or a prorated credit towards 2023 Tesoro Viejo 10K Training or another Fleet Feet Training Program. Prorated refunds/credits will be calculated by subtracting the number of group training runs that have already occurred from the from the total number of scheduled group training runs.
